ACT Retail methodology published

The update to the ACT Retail methodology has now been published!

We are pleased to announce the publication of the latest methodological updates for the retail sector (retail and distribution). This new version incorporates the latest technical and sector-specific developments to enable retail businesses to assess their decarbonisation strategy with even greater precision.

The methodology has evolved based on feedback gathered during ACT Retail assessments, in particular:

  • incorporating the specific characteristics of the food sector and the SBTi FLAG pathways
  • taking into account organised retail (franchises, co-operatives, etc.)
  • "the addition of indicators to Module 4, particularly those relating to transport"

Following the first ACT Retail assessments, we have updated our sector-specific framework to bring it as closely as possible into line with the operational realities of retail businesses. These methodological adjustments now constitute the new standard and replace previous versions for all your future procedures.

These new features will be incorporated into the online assessment tool very soon, but you can view the new sector-specific methodology now.

A big thank you to the companies and reviewers who have contributed to this update!
