Performance Score

Air France-KLM's overall performance rating reflects its strengths and areas for improvement.
In the strengths:
- Implementation of decarbonization targets on the relevant scopes, at 2030 and 2050, which is reflected by a good score in module 1.

- Good structuring of the approach at the governance level (module 5)
- Voluntary approach towards its value chain, valued by modules 6 and 7
In terms of areas for improvement:
- A real reduction in emissions but which remains partially aligned with the rate of decline compatible with a 1.5°C world
- An absence of prospective elements concretizing the reduction objectives which penalizes module 2
- An engagement strategy which does not provide for the systematic implementation of penalty/reward systems, necessary to ensure a tangible impact on the value chain value.

- A questioning of the business model projected in a low-carbon world taking into account the core activity (air transport).

Narrative Score

The strong commitments and the good structuring of the group's transition approach on the one hand are offset on the other hand by the risk of overall compatibility of the business model in a low-carbon world, in the absence of the emergence of a decarbonized air transport solution (high technological risk), hence an average narrative score of C.

Trend score

Given the elements present, it is difficult to form a reliable opinion on the prospects for the evolution of the ACT score in the future.
A "=" factor is therefore preferred.
